Dr. Reham Kamel holds an M.B.B.Ch., an MSc in Psychiatry, and a Doctorate (MD) in General Psychiatry from the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. She is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Cairo University.
She is also internationally certified in:

● Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) – EMDR International Association (EMDRIA)

She is a PCIT International Agency Trainer and the founder of the first dedicated PCIT clinics in both Egypt and Abu Dhabi.
Experience:
Dr. Reham Kamel is a Consultant Psychiatrist specializing in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, currently practicing in Abu Dhabi. She completed her postgraduate clinical training at Cairo University Hospitals with rotations across adult psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and specialized child and adolescent units.
She later pursued advanced subspecialty training in child and adolescent psychiatry and obtained multiple international psychotherapy certifications (DBT, EMDR, PCIT). Her expertise spans emotional dysregulation, trauma-related disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions, behavioral problems, mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, psychosis, and complex developmental trauma.
Dr. Kamel previously supervised the Autism Clinic at Cairo University Children’s Mental Health Services and coordinated multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
She has also led major community and humanitarian initiatives through Banati Institution, providing mental health services for vulnerable and homeless children. These programs received numerous awards, including recognition from Plan International, AGFUND, Larissa Award, Stars Impact Award, Islamic Development Bank, and The NGOs Award.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Kamel is actively involved in medical education. She teaches and examines medical students at Cairo University, mentors junior psychiatrists, and has taught at Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) University (validated by the University of Bedfordshire and University of Greenwich, UK). She is also an active researcher with national and international publications, and has completed advanced research training at the University of Pittsburgh, USA.
