Family medicine services

Stanford Medical seeks to provide its integrated services, and this is represented by the presence of a family medicine clinic, which is one of the most important clinics in directing the patient based on his health condition.

Family medicine is distinguished by raising the slogan of the patient first, as it meets all the needs of patients, and their comfort in the emergency and the clinic. It also provides diagnosis and appropriate treatment for patients and directs them to the appropriate clinic for their health condition if the need arises.

Clinic services

Provide continuing and comprehensive medical care and health maintenance of each member of the family, regardless of gender or age, for a range of biological, behavioral, and social problems.
Provide preventive care including travel and routine medical check ups including well-baby and child visits, follow ups, screening tests and procedures, immunizations, and personalized counselling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Provide management in sports medicine, emergency and urgent care and public health.
Demonstrate diagnostic and therapeutic skills for effective patient care by using evidence based medical practices.
Demonstrate effective consultation with respect to patient care, culture, and education.
Recognize practice limitations and seek consultation with other healthcare professionals, when necessary, to provide optimal patient care.
Demonstrate an understanding of medico-legal issues.
Obtain relevant history from patients/families/communities and keep accurate and adequate patient records.
Establish therapeutic relationships with patients/families.
Function as a counsellor and advocate to effectively improve health of patients, families, and communities.
Understand the importance of lifestyle measures (physical activity, nutrition, stress, smoking) to prevent and control non-communicable diseases.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions and provide minor surgeries, order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests and prescribe medications as per the DOH local regulations.
Refer patients' effectively with respect to patient care and effectively contribute to other interdisciplinary team activities.
